Yoshio Turner

Principal Scientist
Yoshio is a co-founder of Banyan (Feb 2015), a company developing technology for containerized infrastructure. Previously, Yoshio was a Principal Research Scientist at HP Labs, Networking and Mobility Laboratory, in Palo Alto, CA. He has co-authored several research papers in computer systems and networking. To provide network bandwidth guarantees to cloud tenants, Yoshio co-developed Gatekeeper and ElasticSwitch, and has worked to integrate them with OpenStack to encourage adoption. Yoshio also contributed to architecting and developing a scalable production Neutron network virtualization service for HP's Public Cloud. Yoshio received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Computer Science from UCLA.
